The Biobeen Kitchen Composter transforms everyday kitchen waste into nutrient-rich compost quickly and conveniently.
01. Load Waste
Open the lid and place your food waste inside the aluminium bucket, ensuring you cut large pieces small and do not exceed the MAX line.
02. Select Settings & Start
Short-press to choose your volume (Low, Medium, or Large) and mode (Quick, Standard, or Ferment), then long-press the Mode button for 1.5 seconds to automatically begin the cycle.
03. Empty Processed Contents
After the cycle ends, wait 10 to 15 minutes for the bucket to cool, then lift the bucket vertically to empty your processed compost.

How long does the composting process take? +
Processing time depends on the selected mode and waste volume. Quick Mode can take approximately 2–4.5 hours, Standard Mode around 3.5–5.5 hours, and Ferment Mode approximately 12–20 hours.
What operating modes does Biobeen have? +
Biobeen includes three modes:
- Quick Mode: Ideal for everyday fruit, vegetable scraps and leftovers.
- Standard Mode: Designed for common food waste and suitable compostable materials.
- Ferment Mode: Creates partially fermented organic fertiliser with moisture retention.

Biobeen can process many common kitchen scraps including fruit and vegetable waste, leftovers, grains, coffee grounds, tea bags, eggshells, dairy products and approved biodegradable materials.
What should I avoid putting into Biobeen? +
Avoid hard bones, cooking oils, fruit pits, plastics, glass, foil, chemicals, detergents and other non-compostable materials.
Does Biobeen produce bad smells? +
Biobeen includes an activated carbon filter system designed to help control odours. For best performance, replace the filter approximately every 6 months depending on usage.
Can I run Biobeen overnight? +
Yes. Biobeen is designed for quiet household operation and can safely operate unattended when used according to the product instructions.
How do I use the finished compost material? +
Mix the processed material with soil at approximately a 1:10 ratio before adding it to garden beds, pot plants or lawn areas.
How do I clean and maintain my Biobeen? +
Remove and rinse the aluminium bucket with warm water and mild detergent. The bucket is dishwasher-safe. Biobeen also includes an automatic cleaning mode for easier maintenance.
What is the warranty period? +
Biobeen comes with a one-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship when used according to the product instructions.
